Empowering underserved by providing growth opportunities

At SFPI, we believe that education is the greatest equalizer. We focus on three key aspects of education that guide our philanthropic work. The first is accessibility. This remains a major challenge, in both K-12 and higher education. Ensuring quality education for the 300 million children in our country requires a strong partnership between three sectors: ‘samaaj’ (society), ‘sarkar’ (government) and ‘bazaar’ (market). The second focus is affordability, particularly in making higher education accessible to underprivileged groups. The third aspect is awareness. In rural India, many people are still unaware of the transformative power of education. They don’t fully realize its potential to improve lives, create opportunities, drive social mobility, and lift people out of poverty.
